The Company's core competency lies in its abilities to design smart phones/terminals utilizing the most advance wireless and computing technology platforms.

At the Central Processing Unit (CPU) level, the Company offers ready solutions that can run on a variety of leading chipset platforms: the Intel's XScale, Texas Instrument's OMAP or Motorola's MX line of chipsets.

At the Operating System (OS) layer, the Company offers three mainstream choices: Microsoft's WinCE.NET 4.2 and the various Windows Mobile editions; Palm and Linux.

On wireless connectivity, the Company has the ability to design smart phone/terminals with single or multi-mode wireless access that may include GPRS/GSM, CDMA 1X, GPS, Bluetooth and/or WLAN 802.11.

RV Tec designs each model always with the customer's and end user's interests in mind. Working with a set of parameters given by the customer, the RV Tec technical team prime objective is to provide customers with the optimal design, weighing production costs against factors such as computing power, functions and features, power consumption requirements and reliability.

The RV Tec's Smart Handheld Platform

The proprietary RV Tec's Smart Handheld Platform is the building block on which the Company agglomerates its own proprietary technologies with third parties' to form the bases of all smart handheld designs. The modular architecture of the RV Tec’s Platform made it possible to integrate key hardware and software components in a timely and effective manner, offering distinct benefits to the customers including:

• Maximum flexibility in meeting customers' price points through the appropriate choice of CPU, OS and other key components.

• Short turnaround time resulting in the lowest development costs and shortest time-to-market possible.

• Easy customization at the User Interface level to provide uniqueness for each individual handset model.

The RV Tec's Smart Handheld Platform is made up of:

1. a layer of proprietary firmware that acts as the command center to control the ways the different hardware and software components communicate and work with each other. This layer of firmware is critical to the overall performance of the device. In essence, this firmware layer ensures the key hardware and software components perform as they should and goes one step further to ensure these components work with each other in a systematic and error-free manner while optimizing the device and battery performance;
2. a complete and ready suite of intuitive software/User Interface to facilitate both voice and data communication. This layer of User Interface can be easily customized to provide uniqueness to a device;
3. optional application modules are also readily available to provide additional consumer features such as built-in camera, MP3, audio/video streaming, email access, messaging capabilities as well as industrial features such as barcode scanning, smartcard reading, security encryption, etc.

The following diagram illustrates RV Tec's capabilities in a nutshell. At the core is the Company proprietary firmware (represented in blue shade) that forms the platform on which all third parties' technologies (represented by the small colored boxes) reside. A customer will only need to be concerned at his/her requirements from the user and cost perspective. Based on the guidelines set by the customer, the Company will integrate and assembly the critical technologies together, normally incorporating a fair amount of customization work at the hardware, firmware and software levels' to come up with an optimal design. The process is then followed by a series of fine-tuning, testing and final debugging. The end product will be a design that is tailor-made to meet the specific needs of the customer. Where required by customers, the Company will also handle the industry certification and type approval process for the customers.
